Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $70,000-$75,000
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for approximately 500 employees across multiple entities and states.
- Ensure accurate calculation and processing of earnings, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and benefit deductions.
- Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
- Manage payroll tax withholding and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audits.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
- Act as the system administrator for Paylocity, including employee data management, workflows, security roles, reporting, and configuration.
- Maintain data integrity across payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and HR modules.
- Manage system updates, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of new functionality.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and system integrations.
- Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, procedures, and training materials.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll administration experience supporting multi-state payroll.
- 2+ years of HRIS administration experience, preferably with Paylocity.
- Experience processing payroll across multiple entities and employee populations.
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
